If we went to the Met Gala..
One of the years most iconic fashion events is here! The Met Gala.
We all know by now that vintage is timeless and fashion trends always repeat themselves. There are countless reasons as to why shopping sustainable is always the best answer, and these are just a few simple reasons.
We dug through our closets and pulled out some of our favorite red carpet worthy looks and fashion pieces.
Could you see Bad Madge walking down the runway in some of these epic styles?
INSPIRED BY JACKIE O.
When you picture the vintage fashion icons, it's more than likely Jackie Onassis Kennedy appears somewhere on your list. Chic, classic, and timeless, Jackie always had an elegance about how she presented herself to the world. Regal yet approachable, Jackie hails as one of our most inspirational women in fashion. We would honor her memory at the Met Gala in our 'Jackie O' available at Bad Madge.
London Calling! With this Zhandra Rhodes original sample slip dress in magnetic magenta, paired with a hip fringe coat and fedora hat, we can't help but picture ourselves hailing a cab on Oxford Street, heading to the latest restaurant opening. The high and low of this look really is a stunning combo, and something we always recommend looking for in shopping for a specific piece. This slip dress alone is easily dressed up with gold jewels and sky high stilettos, but to make a more interesting and Met Gala worthy look we added a 60's inspired coat to give it a casual yet unique edge.
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
A truly Met Gala worthy ensemble, this incredible gown can be worn anywhere from the runway to senior prom. Ruched lace with a stunning cape train, a dress this elegant should be paired with simple accessories, pulled back hair, and minimal makeup. This dress deserves to be the star of the show and we believe it would be.
The 80's called. They want their iconic babe back. There is nothing more chic and retro than a classic mini dress. Just ask Gigi or Kendall. We love a legs for days look on a girl who isn't afraid of what the haters think. Empowered women empower women. Period!
From secretary to socialite, this stunning piece is sure to turn heads. A classic stripe with unique details and colors, vintage always adds a timeless and quality stamp to every one who wears it. We would simply love to see this dress strutting its stuff down the red carpet.
Sparkle like champagne in the moonlight. This 20's inspired sequined flapper dress is giving us New Years at the Gatsby mansion vibes. Paired with some modern day accessories, we think this look would fit right in amongst the eclectic and bold at the Met Gala.
